I wanted to share with you what a fan I am of www.socialoomph.com.
I used to feel a sense of panic every couple of hours thinking ‘what am I doing right now?’ so that I could add to twitter, but with this tool, you can plan some tweets in advance and schedule them to go out when you want.
On registering here (for free), you can set up an account and amongst many of the other features you can set up all your tweets and when you want them to appear. So I now set aside forty minutes or so one day a week, review what blog posts and newsletters I will have going out the following week , consider what else I will be working on that I will want to share with people and plan 4 or 5 tweets a day.
I then write them, choose which time I want them to appear and then forget about them for the week! Twitter is NOT a set it and forget it tool because it’s all about building relationships, which obviously can’t be done on auto-pilot and need some hands-on input from you to give a bit more warmth and humaness to the whole thing, but it does take the pressure off and mean that you can schedule your ‘serious’ tweets, then have a bit more fun when you’re on during the day.
It also allows me to tweet while I sleep. I tweet 24 hours a day as my client base is around the world. So I tweet while I sleep. I love a bit of systemisation in my marketing approach!
